Job Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation following the guidance of Halifax Community College Personnel files policy.
- Processes documentation and prepares reports relating to human resources activities (payroll, staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.).
- Provides administrative support to the Director of Human Resources.
- Supports the Human Resource function with a keen attention to detail in a proactive and timely manner.
To be successful as a Human Resources Assistant at Halifax Community College, you will need:
- An Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution in human resources, business, or other related field.
- Two years of experience working in Human Resources, Office Administration, or a related office support field.
- Ability to work independently, prioritizing work and balancing multiple projects concurrently.
