What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager at Halifax Inn position at Halifax Inn?
We are looking for hands on manager of an 18 room motel with additional lot rentals on site. The qualified individual must have the ability to manage others as well as have the ability to work alongside them in completing tasks to effectively and smoothly run the motel. Housekeeping will be part of the position. Working weekends will be a requirement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage front desk, greeting and interacting with daily check-ins and long-term residents
- Maintain accurate account of rooms with payments, dates, and customer data on a computer software package
- Address issues arising on a daily basis from customers and follow through with rectifying the problems
- Ability to be a team leader and work well with others
- Ability to perform housekeeping is essential
- Communicate clearly with business owner, bookkeeper, employees, clients and sub-contractors
- Must be reliable, strong work ethic and high integrity to handle cash, credit card and check transaction with confidentiality.
- Multi-task when necessary
- Answer phones and greet visitors with a smile
- Must be comfortable with people
- Be detail oriented with the ability to work independently, plan, prioritize, take initiative, and resolve problems
- Must have some housekeeping experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 β 50 per week
