Hall Landscape Design, Inc. is a family-owned landscape architecture and construction firm with 40 years of experience serving the Monterey Peninsula. About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Landscape Foreman who can lead a crew, execute high-end landscape installations, and keep projects running smoothly. You will work under the direction of a Project Supervisor while managing a crew of at least two team members. This role requires a strong skill set in irrigation, planting, grading, and drainage, along with effective communication and job tracking abilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing an onsite crew of at least 2 team members
• Installing irrigation systems, site drainage, grading, planting and low-voltage lighting
• Assembling and installing up to 2” brass backflows, irrigation valve manifolds, and flow sensors
• Irrigation controller installation and programming (Hunter Hydrawise experience is a plus)
• Reading and interpreting plan sets to ensure proper execution
• Operating compact skid steers and trenchers for grading and trenching work
• Using technology for crew time tracking and project management
• Communicating with the Project Supervisor to ensure workflow efficiency and problem-solving on-site

Who We’re Looking For

• 5 years of construction or landscaping experience required
• 2 years minimum at a supervisory or managerial level
• Bilingual (English & Spanish, reading and writing) required – clear communication is key
• Proven leadership skills – ability to manage and mentor a crew
• Physically fit – lots of standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• CA driver’s license with a clean record
• Experience with compact skid steers and trenchers required
• Ability to drive a truck and trailer
• Ability to assemble and install irrigation components, including:
• 2” brass backflows
• Irrigation valve manifolds
• Flow sensors
• Controllers (Hunter Hydrawise knowledge a plus)
• Strong plant identification skills for CA native & Mediterranean plants
• Comfortable with technology – job tracking, time tracking, and crew management tools

Paid Skills Demonstration Day (Before Hiring)

This allows us to see your leadership, workflow management, irrigation skills, and ability to communicate with the crew in action.
