Controller needed with growing company!

Exciting opportunity with growth oriented manufacturing company! As Controller, you will oversee the financial health of the organization, providing leadership to the finance and accounting team, and ensuring accurate and timely financial records. You will play a key role in strategic financial decision-making, process improvements, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory management.

· Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

· Coordinate and manage the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to create budgets that align with company goals and objectives.

· Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

· Oversee cash management and capital expenditure planning, including the development of cash flow projections and analysis.

· Support the CFO in preparing reports for senior management and external stakeholders.

· Manage and review inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations, ensuring accuracy and efficient inventory management practices.

· Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.

· Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax filings and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

· Coordinate the annual review process and work with external accounting firms to ensure compliance and completeness of financial statements.

· Implement and continuously improve financial systems, procedures, and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.

Preferred skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred not required.

· Manufacturing experience highly preferred

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.

· Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

· Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing processes.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
