About the Role :
We are actively in search of a seasoned Commercial and Construction Estimator / Designer with 5 to 10 years of experience who is adept at analyzing blueprints, specifications, and quotes to prepare an all-inclusive quality and accurate bid to join our corporate team based out of our Lititz, PA campus. This position reports to the Estimating Manager.
What You Will Do :
- Design and build project - do conceptual layouts
- Request Vendor quotes for material, labor, etc.
- Check material pricing in database (per trade)
- Complete bid summary
- Prepare written proposal
- Plan and specifics - Review Mechanical,Electrical and Plumbing specifications
- Review general conditions on bid request
- Estimators to review proposals with Estimating Manager
- File all bid documents in bid folder
- Finalize and send bid to GC
- If assigned to follow up, update communication details in the commercial quotes folder for the job
- Attend pre-job meetings
- Complete project profile sheet and email to VP of Operations within 24 hours
- Schedule internal kick-off meeting for sold jobs, to inform the operations team.
- Meet quarterly with Estimators to review jobs in process
- Create cost code budgets and AIA breakdowns for operations
