What are the responsibilities and job description for the Well Control Instructor (Remote) position at Halliburton?
The Well Control Instructor will teach accredited IADC and IWCF well control courses and other related technical classes.
Pay Rate: $90.00/hour- Contract Length: 6 months with the high possibility of extension based on performance and other factors.
- Shift Details: Candidates must be willing to work multiple time zones.
Responsibilities
- As a well control instructor, your responsibilities include ensuring all work meets industry standards, updating training records, collaborating with associated organizations, meeting deadlines, and providing support to students. Your duties include developing training courses, creating appropriate material, scheduling courses to meet operational requirements, assisting with program simulators and well models, and maintaining all systems and equipment. A well control instructor's goal is to teach drilling, oil, and gas information and prepare students to obtain professional certification.
Qualifications
- IADC and IWCF certified required.
- Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering or similar engineering preferred
- 10 - 15 years of experience as a Drilling Engineer preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience instructing/teaching classes.
- Tech saavy as classes will be taught virtually.
- Bilingual in spanish is a plus.
