Construction Superintendent

Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Understands plan specifications and staffing for each phase of construction
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the residential home-building process, state and local codes, material, and labor installation specifications for multiple trades
- Interacts professionally with subcontractors, suppliers, land developers, code enforcement officials, customers, and team members
- Controls overhead costs within company guidelines
- Ensures subcontractors comply with company construction policies, quality control and safety procedures
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of construction to assist on the job site, if necessary
- Demonstrates a general knowledge of walking lots under development to determine grade and dirt balancing
- Adjusts personnel and equipment resources as needed, to resolve construction problems and to avoid delays
- Regularly inspects every job site to monitor quality, to monitor daily schedules, and to provide subcontractors necessary guidance as required to assure they complete their trade activity
- Manages tight deadlines, promptly addresses changes without disrupting schedules, and manages high volume of work
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in a high-volume residential production environment and / or construction project management preferred
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written, verbal communication and customer service skills
- Must have a valid driver's license

Physical Requirement:
- May have occasion to lift/carry or push/pull 50 pounds
- Requires travel to multiple construction sites
