SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant will provide financial reporting, accounting, and budgeting support for various departments. The Staff Accountant will play a role in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Programming, Payroll, Residuals and Participations, Fixed Assets, and General Accounting functions. This position will be hands-on in the development and maintenance of all policies, procedures, and training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations and analyze the general ledger for various departments.
- Prepares reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Assists with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual close packages, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow schedules, and related variance analysis/explanations against budget and forecast.
- Communicates and interacts regularly with operating management and personnel; handles questions, as well as research and performs additional analysis as needed to support business needs.
- Assists in the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of annual budgets, multi-year business plans, and various financial analyses for lines of business.
- Enhances financial reporting and streamlines, refines, and improves the consolidation process to assist management and improve departmental workflow.
- Assists with special projects.
- Ability to read and understand contracts.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- A rising junior or recent graduate from a four-year university.
- Strong Excel experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Previous Entertainment experience is a plus.
- Good organization skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to develop ongoing partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.

The hourly range for this job is $17.27. Hourly rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
