What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boat Detailer/Maintenance Person position at Halls Sport Center?
Halls Sport Center is a full-service retail boat dealership in West Michigan. We are looking to hire a full-time Detailer/Maintenance Person at our Muskegon location. Experience in the marine industry is preferred but not
required. Lines we carry include; Crownline, Four Winns, Bennington pontoons, Mercury, Mercruiser, Volvo-Penta, and Yamaha. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, accustomed to working in a team-oriented environment, and possess strong customer service skills.
Job Duties Include:
- interior and exterior cleaning of new and pre-owned sold boats for customer delivery
- buffing and waxing of service work order boats
- cleaning and maintaining the boats for sale within our showroom
- inspecting stock inventory boats for cosmetic defects
- assisting with staging and cleaning boats within our showrooms
- participating in the setup of trade show events and cleaning the units on display at the event
- conducting power-washing of the exterior of boats during the fall winterization season
- cleaning and light maintenance of our showroom and other facilities
- driving company vehicles and possibly hauling customer and stock boats to our different locations
