Kansas City Operations Internship

The Operations Intern will work with the HALO COO, Operations Director, and Operations Manager and will be a part of all operations efforts for the HALO headquarters and HALO branches. This position will be for at least 10 hours a week at HALO Headquarters in Kansas City. This intern will report to the Senior Operations Manager. 

Make an impact working with local homeless youth while using your own creativity! 

• Work on DonorPerfect data clean-up projects on an ongoing basis

• Support HALO staff - writing thank you cards, making invoices

• Help with event follow-up

• Help in tasks pertaining to growing monthly donor base

• Help with Change That Counts, DipJar, and Bloom initiative 

• Helping pull reports on Better Impact

• Creating a guide on how to read data on Better Impact

• Assist with posting jobs on Indeed and Handshake and reaching out to qualified candidates to apply 

• Researching and analyzing different platforms for HALO Membership

• Researching and organizing volunteer fairs, internship fairs, and speaking opportunities

• Research best practices for Crypto

• Research ways to grow company match donations

• Google search keywords and analysis

• Assist in maintaining Google Drive

• Review potential grants in Instrumentl to see what would be the best-fit grants to apply for

• Assist in pulling and reviewing the following reports in Donor Perfect: 

  • No Donations from the prior year, etc.: 

  • Recency Report

  • Frequency Report

  • Top Donor Report

  • Gift Range Report

• Assist with reviewing donor segmentation reports in Donor Perfect: 

  • 1st Time Donors

  • Lapsed Donors

  • Giving Potential

  • Event Attendees Only

  • Potential HALO Tribe Members

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

Candidates for this Internship must exhibit strong organizational and communication skills. They must also be able to work well in a team atmosphere, be highly motivated, enjoy brainstorming, pay extreme attention to detail, and take the initiative on all projects. 

Needs to be efficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Knowledge of CRM systems is a plus. Training provided on all other programs.
