Duties
- Prepare and file legal documents, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and documentation.
- Manage attorney calendars, scheduling appointments, meetings, and court dates.
- Assist in the review and organization of case files and documentation.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records.
- Coordinate project management tasks related to ongoing cases or legal matters.
- Utilize legal software for case management and billing purposes.
- Communicate effectively with clients and court personnel.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment is preferred.
- Strong skills in legal administrative tasks, including document review and filing.
- Proficient in data entry with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation.
- Experience with project management principles to assist in case coordination effectively.
- A background as a Paralegal is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
