Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Code Enforcement Officer to join our team at Haltom City.
The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing building and municipal codes, responding to code-related inquiries, and processing code violation complaints.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Receiving and investigating code violation complaints.
- Enforcing building and municipal codes.
- Responding to code-related inquiries.
- Processing code violation complaints.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a valid Texas Driver's License.
In addition, the successful candidate will interpret and enforce City codes and ordinances, issue violation notices and citations as warranted, and attend court proceedings.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, plus two years of code enforcement experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possession of a valid Texas Driver's License is required.
- Code Enforcement Officer Certification and/or the ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
