Position Summary:
This dual role is responsible for estimating commercial projects and managing them to successful completion. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in the commercial construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for commercial overhead door projects, including materials, labor, and timelines.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to determine scope of work.
- Manage all aspects of awarded projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and client communication.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure clear communication and timely project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with the installation team to provide technical support and address field challenges.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all estimates, contracts, change orders, and project updates.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 3 years of proven experience in estimating and project management required, preferably in the commercial construction or overhead door industry.
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and bidding processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and estimating tools.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
