Job Title: Superintendent
- The Superintendent serves as the chief executive officer of the Hamburg School District, providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to achieve the district's mission of educational excellence. This position ensures the effective operation of all schools and programs within the district, fostering an environment conducive to student success, staff development, and community engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Education Administration or related field.
- Valid Arkansas Superintendent Certification (License Code: 301, 311, or 277).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably as a superintendent or central office administrator.
- Demonstrated expertise in school finance, curriculum development, and personnel management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for the district's academic, operational, and fiscal success.
- Lead the district in setting and achieving goals aligned with state and federal education standards.
- Educational Excellence:
- Oversee curriculum development, instruction, and assessment to ensure high student achievement.
- Support professional development opportunities for educators and staff to enhance teaching quality.
- Operations and Fiscal Management:
- Manage the district's budget, ensuring financial stability and alignment with educational priorities.
- Oversee facilities, transportation, and technology to provide a safe and effective learning environment.
- Policy and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing education.
- Implement and monitor all School Board policies regarding instruction, finance, facilities, transportation, personnel, and all other functions of the district.
- Community and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a liaison between the district and the community, fostering strong relationships with parents, local businesses, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate frequently and effectively to promote transparency and build trust within the community.
- Visibly represent the district in a professional manner.
- Human Resources Management:
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate principals, administrators, and other key personnel.
- Ensure that evaluations of all district employees are completed in an ongoing and timely manner.
- Prepares and submits to the Board recommendations relative to all matters requiring Board action, placing before the Board such necessary and helpful facts, information, and reports as needed to ensure the making of informed decisions.
- Making recommendations to the Board concerning personnel employment, discipline, and termination.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work culture across the district.
- Observe a professional Code of Ethics and show personal integrity.
- Safeguards confidentiality of privileged information.
- Assume all other duties as directed by the Hamburg School Board of Directors.
- Physical Demands:

Terms of Employment:
