Job Duties (Summary):
- Prepare and present resource certifications for the County Budget Commission.
- Support and assist with other functions of the Budget & Settlement staff, including, but not limited to, preparing payments for distributions of real estate taxes and taxpayer refunds; posting documents to the accounting system; and recording receipts and issuing payments of monthly revenues due to the County and/or other entities.
- Communicate timely and clearly with other County entities regarding their tax distributions, required legislation, advance requests, budget documents, and more.
- Assist with the annual financial audit and reporting: Obtain and format statistical data from County departments; post journal entries to the audit-reporting software; compile other data as needed for required financial reporting and/or disclosure.
- Gain competence in the use of multiple software modules in the completion of the required tasks.
- Support and assist with other functions of the Accounting staff, such as reviewing, coding, keying or interfacing documents to the accounting software.
- Document daily, monthly and annual procedures, and maintain well-organized records.
