Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the school’s cafeteria team to produce healthy, tasty meals for students
- Supervises, directs, and evaluates staff
- Ensures that all kitchen activities are conducted in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards
- Manages cash receipting functions for the school cafeteria
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment
- Maintains inventory of food and supplies, including ordering
- Completes and maintains all required records
- Coaches and trains staff
- Assists in preparation, serving, and cleaning
- Promotes school nutrition program and nutrition education
Tasks require performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of heavy objects and materials up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications required:
- Must have successfully completed the HCS School Nutrition Manager Training, including passing the final course exam.
- Requires a HS diploma or GED
- May require possession and maintenance of a valid Tennessee driver's license.
- 6.50 hours (This school serves less than 500 meal equivalents daily).
Compensation:
Salary is based on a combination of relevant education and experience.
