THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION.
Under general supervision, provides professional social counseling, support, and clinical case management to various high-risk populations within Hamilton County in programs related to prevention, rehabilitation, and development of self-sufficiency. An employee in this class provides guidance, advice, and application of theory in treatment to families and patients in home settings, outpatient clinical facilities, and / or local correctional facility settings.

Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's, or doctorate degree in social work and one (1) year of full-time work experience in professional social work or a social work-related field. A valid driver's license is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
A Master's of Social Work Certificate (CMSW) or License of Clinical Social Work (LCSW) from the State of Tennessee is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Work requires working with high risk, confrontational, mentally, and physically ill, and economically disadvantaged populations with potential exposure to infectious diseases. Work may require making home visits; may involve working after regular business hours in high crime areas; may work at various sites or may be required to make presentations and attend community meetings.
