Role Description : Chief Financial Officer
Hamilton Health Box (HHB) is a rapidly growing healthcare startup operating hybrid telemedicine-enabled primary care clinics for businesses and rural communities across the country. Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO), reporting to the CEO, is a strategic leader responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization to ensure long-term financial health, growth, and sustainability. The CFO provides strategic financial leadership, manages the company’s financial risks, and ensures accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning initiatives.
- Participate in the budget process and expense management directives to ensure departments operate within approved budgets.
- Develop and implement the organization’s financial strategy and establish long-term financial goals.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
- Manage cash flow, investments, and funding requirements.
- Identify, assess, and manage financial risks to mitigate potential impacts on the organization.
- Present financial updates and strategies to the Board of Directors and investors.
- Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with executives to align financial plans with operational needs.
- Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and financial institutions.
- Ensure adherence to financial laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
