TITLE:                                 CTE TEACHER SEMICONDUCTOR TECHNOLOGIES TEACHER

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid State of Arizona CTE Teaching Certificate – Career and Technical Education Industrial and Emerging Technologies, OR Specialized Career and Technical Education Industrial and Emerging Technologies
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Degree in education or technology related field desired or experience in the IT, Engineering, or Manufacturing field, and / or three years of work experience directly related to the subject being taught.
  • Industry Credentials in Certified SolidWorks Associate certification, OSHA 10, and Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Experience with Career and Technical Education desired
  • Teach a specified Career Technical Education (CTE) class for grades 9 – 12 in manufacturing including but not limited to, core topics including basic electronics (circuits, Ohm’s law, switches), sensors, pneumatics, introduction to IC manufacturing, supply chains, motor controls, programmable logic controllers, introductory soldering, vacuum systems / gas delivery systems and safety protocols in manufacturing
  • Lead hands-on activities to reinforce concepts, such as circuit building and troubleshooting (critical thinking skills)
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of semiconductor technology or electronics. Hands-on experience with tools like multimeters or oscilloscopes
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software applications; especially Excel and introductory statistics
  • Knowledge of instructional practices that support student centered learning

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  1. Demonstrate expertise in the field of manufacturing or engineering - electrical or robotics
  2. Oversee a Career and Technical Student Organization (SkillsUSA)
  3. Develop and work with advisory committees and stakeholders
  4. Participate in recruitment needs for program
  5. Plans and implements a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students within the district curriculum
  6. Uses effective teaching techniques and materials to implement established curriculum goals and objectives
  7. Creates a weekly written lesson plan describing daily learning experiences – this weekly lesson plan is to be correlated with the aims and/or objectives in the curriculum guide and/or course outline
  8. Monitors and assesses student progress in order to provide feedback on a regular basis to students and their parents
  9. Diagnoses, instructs and evaluates specific student needs and seeks assistance of district specialists as required
  10. Communicates aims and/or objectives to students in a well-planned, organized manner using clear and precise language
  11. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
  12. Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing the development of proper student behavior
  13. Develops and implements reasonable classroom rules of behavior and procedure in a fair and just manner
  14. Creates educational experiences that provide each student the opportunity to develop his/her potential in the areas of personal-social adjustment, decision-making, positive self-image and other life skills
  15. Promotes and follows the adopted school district philosophy, policies, regulations and administrative procedures
  16. Communicates concerns and ideas with colleagues, students, parents and community in a positive, professional and ethical manner
  17. Assumes legal responsibility for the supervision of students on school property or in attendance at school-sponsored activities
  18. Strives to maintain and improve professional competence
  19. Assumes individual responsibilities which may be assigned by the principal/supervisor and which may relate to committee work, student activities, student supervision or other planning and professional assignments
  20. Maintains accurate, complete, legible and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation
  21. Takes necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities 
  22. Participate in department and school meetings
  23. Participate in District and school initiatives
  24. Meet any additional specific job requirements as indicated by the District or school site

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Positions in this classification typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, pushing, reaching, lifting, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Employees may be subject to travel, body fluids, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, workspace restrictions, and intense noise. Employees may be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

 

 

Salary : $54,567 - $66,797
