JOB SUMMARY
Provides direct patient care to patients in an ambulatory setting using the nursing process. Must be able to manage the care of assigned patients and cope with rapid patient turnover. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the population served.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Successful completion of the Basic Arrhythmia, Conscious Sedation Classes and ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
Licensure: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of GA as verified by primary source of verification.
Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia and Conscious Sedation Classes and ACLS certified. BLS CPR required. PALS required.
Experience: One year acute care nursing experience preferred, but will provide on the job training.
Skills: Routine nursing skills - Ability to perform pre-admission testing when necessary.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Prolonged walking and standing required with the ability to lift and move patients. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to tolerate rapid patient turnover. Works in a typical ambulatory pre-op, phase I and phase II recovery setting with patients experiencing a wide range of surgical procedures and anesthetics. Required to work rotating day shift hours with late day assignments.
