What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parents as Teachers (PAT) Educator position at Hamilton R-II School District?
Hamilton R-II School District is partnering with nearby school districts; Braymer C-4, Breckenridge R1, Cowgill R-VI, New York R-IV, and Kingston 42 to hire a Parents as Teachers (PAT) Educator effective immediately. This individual would provide PAT services for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year and continue services for the 2025-2026 school year. This position requires a flexible schedule to accommodate family visits. Benefits will be offered by Hamilton R-II if a minimum of visits/connections is established monthly to determine full-time status. Hourly pay is $20.00. Responsibilities of the PAT Educator include promoting parent-child interaction and development centered parenting and family well-being training through personal visits, group connections, screenings, and resource referrals. Candidates must meet one of the following criteria: (1) Certification in Early Childhood Education or related area, (2) Completion of 2-year degree or certificate program in Early Childhood Education or related area, (3) 60 hours of college credit and 2 years of successful experience in a program working with young children as approved by DESE, (4) five years of successful experience in a program working with young children as approved by DESE.
