What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long-term Substitute School Counselor/School Social Worker position at Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District?
HWRHS is looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic school counselor/school social worker to join the school counseling team in a long term substitute position during a maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct management of our high school students, will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage group/individual counseling where needed, and work with students to help them make effective academic and personal decisions.This duration of this position is anticipated to run from April 10, 2022 through June 18, 2025. Job Responsibilities: Provide group and/or short-term personal counseling to students.Provide crisis intervention for students, staff and/or parents as needed.Serve as a liaison between students and teaching faculty as the need arises.Serve as a contributing member of the Care/Student Support Team.Serve as a contact to social service agencies working with students and their families.Facilitate the mediation, conflict resolution and intervention process with staff and students.Maintain and provide counseling for a caseload of students as assigned by the Director of School Counseling/Secondary Special Education Coordinator.Work closely with the HS school counseling team to support all students in the academic and social-emotional setting
