Director Loan/Credit Workout

Our Investment Banking client is a leading investment bank specializing in structured finance, corporate lending, and risk management. We provide comprehensive financial solutions to institutional and corporate clients, helping them navigate complex credit challenges. They seek a highly skilled Loan/Credit Workout Specialist to manage distressed and non-performing loans within their portfolio. The ideal candidate will develop and implement strategies to mitigate losses, maximize recoveries, and restructure loans while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Loan Restructuring & Workouts:

• Assess, negotiate, and restructure distressed loan agreements to optimize recovery and minimize risk.
• Work closely with borrowers to develop viable restructuring plans and repayment strategies.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis of borrowers to determine their ability to repay.

Risk Mitigation & Asset Recovery:

• Identify early warning signs of financial distress and develop proactive intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with legal teams to pursue appropriate enforcement actions, including foreclosures, bankruptcies, and asset recoveries.
• Manage collateral repossession and liquidation processes when necessary.

Portfolio & Credit Analysis:

• Perform in-depth credit risk assessments and stress tests to identify vulnerabilities.
• Monitor and report on loan performance, recovery rates, and potential write-offs.
• Recommend provisioning and loan loss reserve adjustments based on portfolio performance.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with internal teams, including credit, legal, and risk management, to develop optimal workout solutions.
• Communicate with regulators, auditors, and external counsel to ensure banking and financial regulations compliance.
