This position would primarily cover central and southern Maine, but may require travel outside of that territory at times. Our technicians serve customers from all 22 Hammond Lumber locations across Maine and New Hampshire and are skilled in resolving a wide variety of window and door issues across multiple brands. Our techs are equipped with a service vehicle and proper tools and training to perform their work. With manageable service territories, they are also able to return home to their families at the end of every day.

- An ideal candidate would have prior hands-on experience either as a builder/installer or a service technician.
- 1-2 years prior experience in the building industry preferred.
- Any window brand specific certifications are a plus.
- This candidate should have strong technical abilities and a general understanding of window anatomy/operation.
- This individual will need to be able to work independently during most of the day, but also communicate and work effectively as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills along with a positive and professional attitude are key traits that are important for this candidate to have. A background in customer service of any kind should give this candidate some great tools to add to their toolbox.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills would serve this candidate well.
- Position requires heavy lifting and the ability to work off of a ladder.
- Must be proficient with using a smartphone or tablet and have familiarity with Microsoft Outlook.
- Flexibility and adaptability are important skills to have.
- The candidate must have a valid driver’s license and be able to prioritize timeliness.
