As part of the Coil Assembly Team, the Coil Operator 1 plays a critical role in producing high-quality transformers efficiently and safely. This role operates within a dynamic and collaborative manufacturing environment where teamwork, integrity, and respect are highly valued. The operator will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure product quality and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Quality & Efficiency
- Produce quality transformers according to established standards and timelines.
- Utilize precision tools (winding machines, machinist’s scale, tape measure, dial calipers) to ensure accurate measurements and product specifications.
- Perform quality checks on finished work and complete tasks within the required cycle time.
- Monitor equipment for performance and perform preventive maintenance when necessary.
- Team Collaboration & Communication
- Work effectively as part of a team, fostering a cooperative environment and assisting colleagues when needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coordinators, and colleagues regarding job tasks, safety concerns, and production status.
- Safety & Cleanliness
- Follow and enforce all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the workspace through 5S housekeeping practices.
- Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed shoes.
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor or Production Line Coordinator to support team objectives and production goals.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for line tasks and packing duties.
- Ability to move within the coil area to communicate with other team members and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical labels in English.
- Strong communication skills in English, both for daily operations and during emergencies.
- Technical Skills
- Proficient in using hand tools and measuring instruments such as a machinist’s scale, tape measure, and dial calipers to within specified tolerances.
- Capable of reading and interpreting Bills of Materials (BOM) and Order Management Sheets (OMS).
- Knowledge of dispensing machine operations and equipment maintenance.

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team.
- Ability to observe and follow safety standards to maintain a secure working environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain consistent attendance.
- Certified safety glasses or side shields for prescription glasses.
- Nitrile gloves for handling chemicals.
- Anti-slip, steel-toed shoes are recommended, but not mandatory.
- Rubber (anti-fatigue) mats provided for each workstation.
