Receptionist/Administrative Assistant:
Hampden Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine, LLC. is a Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine group located in Springfield, MA. We are affiliated with Trinity Hospital.
We have a position open for a Medical Receptionist/Administrative Assistant in our Springfield office. Position is full time.
Job Functions:
⦁ Must be able to multi-task
⦁ Customer service skills mandatory
⦁ Experience with scheduling and booking out patient referrals
⦁ Check in/out patients and schedule appointments
⦁ Verify insurance information and patient identity
⦁ Obtain prior authorizations and referrals
⦁ Answer in-coming calls and check voice messages regularly
⦁ Function at a high level of customer service
⦁ Input accurate patient information into system
⦁ Schedule new patient consultations
⦁ Order and maintain all Durable Medical Equipment orders and referrals
⦁ Prep patient charts for the provider
⦁ Scan and file paperwork
⦁ Make sure all office supplies are stocked and maintained
⦁ Process and pay office bills
⦁ Call patients to remind them of their upcoming appointments
⦁ Post payments to patient accounts
⦁ Book patients for CT Scans, MRIs, Ultrasounds, X-Rays and more
MUST be detail oriented. Two years of previous experience as a medical receptionist required. Knowledge of insurance plans(HMO/PPO) is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
