Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides end-user support to HCS staff and students on a variety of computer hardware, software, and peripherals to include laptops, desktops, projectors, interactive whiteboards, and phones.
- Assists HCS staff in troubleshooting a variety of electronic problems.
- Assists IT staff in diagnosing and resolving network problems.
- Installs and updates computer hardware and software.
- Contributes to various warehouse-based projects, including inventory, new computer preparation and setup, and equipment auctions.
- Temporarily fulfills roles of absent IT staff when appropriate.
- Maintains electronic records of work orders, inventory, and tasks.
- Organizes equipment in schools to maximize space, efficiency, and productivity of staff and students.
- Collaborates with other IT staff on relevant group tasks.
- Provides phone-based remote technical support for HCS families and staff.
- All other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED. Post-secondary education preferred.
- Previous experience with in-person technology support for end-users. Support in educational environments is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license. Clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to learn to use computer systems appropriate to tasks.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull carts, dollies, and pallet jacks.
- Ability to communicate clearly and positively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple daily tasks.
- Ability to collaborate positively with other staff.
