Job Summary
A Sales & Events Coordinator with Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton is responsible for coordinating events at the hotel by: taking phone calls for incoming sales inquiries, responding to RFPs online, booking group blocks, creating group reservations, creating contracts, e-mailing with clients and providing support to the General Manager in their continuing efforts to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability.
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Greeting and assisting guests and responding to requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- Performing word-processing, typing, e-mailing, data-entry, filing, faxing, copying, processing mail and taking notes and/or dictation
- Meeting with potential clients and giving tours of guest rooms and/or meeting rooms
- Answering telephones
- Responding to all RFPs (Request For Proposal) in a timely manner
- Creating contracts
- Entering group blocks into R&I, PEP, and Delphi
- Performing other general office duties and assisting with special projects, as needed

Previous hotel front desk experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate with the right personality that will fit in with our team. We are looking for someone with customer service and/or sales experience and someone that has Hamptonality.
Pay is negotiable and will be based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
