What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager (GM) position at Hampton Inn and Suites, Webster, Texas?
The hotel general manager is responsible for coordinating, overseeing, organizing all the activities involved in the smooth and effective running of a hotel and overseeing housekeeping.
The primary duties of the hotel general manager is to ensure guest satisfaction and overall efficiency of the front desk operation, check each room, to train as outlined in the front office training procedures and ensure staff is prepared to provide excellence to our guests and visitors at all times.
§ Keeping an eye on all the operations of the hotel, including activities of all departments
§ Inspecting all the rooms regularly in order to check if they are keeping up with the hotel standards
§ Assist general manager Planning maintenance works, events, and room bookings
§ Assist general manager Managing and coordinating employees’ duties (receptionist, janitor, clerks, and so on)
§ Assist general manager Motivating workers and promoting teamwork to ensure optimum service and guests’ needs are met
§ Assist general manager Organizing and coordinating the use and rental of hotel spaces for social events,
§ Assist general manager Ensuring good, smooth, and effective interaction with guests
§ Assist general manager Upholding the guidelines established by the hotel owner and ensuring that employees adhere to the laid down rules and guidelines.
