Front Desk Guest Services Representative
A Guest Service Representative is responsible for attending to the needs of guests, especially during the check-in/check-out processes.
Front Desk Agents serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation, ultimately setting the tone for a guest to have an enjoyable and memorable stay.
Responsibilities
· Manage online and phone reservations, including providing information about hotel rooms, rates and amenities
· Welcome guests upon their arrival and perform all check-in tasks
· Register guests, collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay) and assigning rooms
· Provide information to the guests about the local area, like directions, restaurant recommendations, event info and things to do
· Check out guests and provide accurate receipts for their stay
· Change guest information in the computer system, like posting charges to guest accounts, processing payments and making necessary corrections to guest accounts
· Respond to and resolve guests’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
· Work with our housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
· Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
· Maintain daily logs for communicating information to other shifts
· Balance shift work and cash drawers at the end of a shift
Skills
· Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, receptionist or similar role is preferred
· Customer service mindset
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Ability to work with all personality types
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
