What are the responsibilities and job description for the Room Attendant position at Hampton Inn Colorado Springs?
Job Summary: The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all guestrooms. He or she must work to promote safety in all guest areas by following strict procedures with respect to passkeys, entry to guestrooms, and reporting any suspicious activity. Room Attendants must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high quality standards and attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities:
? Thoroughly clean all rooms assigned for service to hotel and company standard.
? Care for all uniforms, equipment and supplies issued by management. ?
Communicate with staff as directed on the status of all cleaned rooms. ? Maintain
cleanliness of public areas.
? Report any observed damage, unusual happenings and safety concerns to the
Executive Housekeeper / Facilities Manager.
? Maintain a solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies. ?
Inform management of hazardous situations, emergencies or security threats
immediately.
? Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions and/or concerns.
? Turn in all “Lost and Found” items immediately as directed listing the room
number, the day the item was found, and the name of the person who found it. ?
Ensure that no occupied room is left open and unattended when being serviced. ?
Promptly report all maintenance concerns.
? Follow all brand standards, policies, & procedures.
? Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include
early morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts. ? Must be able to lift, push, and pull a moderate weight frequently. ? Basic
ability to comprehend English language sufficiently to understand
information such as labels, instructions, and basic guest requests.
