Housekeeping Attendants are responsible primarily for the cleanliness and arrangement of guest rooms. Also, they are employed as actors to ensure a happy and welcoming experience for every guest. HA’s are “on stage” when in any location that is visible to the guest. They ensure the highest level of services possible in a friendly, authentic, caring, and thoughtful manner by following standards of aggressive hospitality and adhering to guidelines and procedures. HA’s represent our Hotel to all guests. They respond courteously and efficiently to guest needs and act as a source of information about the Hotel and the local area.
Responsibilities and job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Cleans guest rooms and guest areas, including: making beds; dusting and vacuuming; cleaning bathroom; replacing supplies; cleaning windows, mirrors, and patios.
- Utilizes chemicals according to directions and familiarizes self with all material safety data sheets.
- Reports hazardous conditions in work area or equipment to supervisor.
- Maintains a stocked, organized, and clean cart with sufficient supplies.
- Reports maintenance issues.
- Documents and secures lost and found items.
- Communicates with guest on a professional and friendly manner.
- Keeps supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart at end of shift.
- Assists House person, including delivering guest requests and pick up of used guest items.
- Conserves energy by closing shades and draperies; turning down air conditioning and heat of unoccupied rooms.
- Participates fully in Green Initiative, our company-wide environmental sustainability initiative, which includes, but is not limited to, recycling, waste reduction, and energy and water conservation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift up to 30 lbs., bending, stretching.
- Exposure to chemicals.
- Push/pull an 80lb. cart along a carpeted surface.
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to weekends. Shifts begin at 9am and end when all assignments are completed for the day. Experience is not required; however, 1 year of housekeeping experience is preferred. We have 2 positions available.
