What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at Hampton Inn Pittsburgh Greentree?
Your ability to be friendly, efficient, and helpful will help make the customer experience a great one. You'll be answering and directing customer questions, helping them find what they're looking for and more! This shift is 3pm-11pm. No day shifts or audit shifts at this time.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and forward guest calls.
- Assist the Guest Service Manager/Departmental Managers with any additional tasks needed
- Maintain records of guest requests and calls.
- Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area
- Enter maintenance requests as needed
- Sign up guests for guest rewards program.
- Complete daily check-list each shift and perform opening/closing duties
- Assist all guests with questions, requests and problems as required with a friendly and positive demeanor.
- Understand and follow policies related to reporting safety, emergencies, criminal activity, suspicious activity
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service even in stressful situations.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in Hotel Front Desk
- Must be computer proficient.
- Hotel experience REQUIRED for all potential candidates.
- Computer skills are required for this position.
- Knowledge of OnQ and/or PEP is helpful.
- Experience in a position in which you handled cash and credit card transactions.
- An equal combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of hotel experience
- Must be able to stand for length of shift(s)
- Ability to maintain a clean work area at all times
- The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts
- Professional attitude and appearance required at all times.
- Reliable transportation
