The award winning Hampton Inn Pontiac, Illinois is hiring a General Manager. We are offering a $1,000 sign on bonus for the qualified candidate!
Our property is known for our outstanding customer service and guest satisfaction. We are looking for a candidate that will offer exceptional customer service and enforce our core values and policies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for leading the team to ensure an exceptional customer and team member experience.
- Maintains a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all customer or team member information confidential.
- Communicates and ensures adherence to all company initiatives, compliance, security and operational policies.
- Resolves customer concerns promptly and efficiently.
- Assigns and schedules staff to ensure optimum service coverage, even distribution of the workload and appropriate project delegation.
- Meets with staff regularly (both 1:1 and in group meetings) to organize sales efforts, communicate procedural changes, and resolve issues to optimize performance and employee engagement. Establish regular coaching opportunities with each team member to review goals and highlight further personal development.
- Selects, trains, supervises and evaluates the staff to enhance individual productivity and enable them to function according to their respective job description.
- Required to cover Front Desk Associate shifts as needed.
SALES:
- Respond to group and meeting bookings to increase revenue and guest retention.

Open availability is required. The job duties include answering phones, making reservations, resolving issues with guests, and superior guest interaction. We look for positive attitude and personalities for top of the line guest experience. Past management experience of any kind required.
