The New Hampton Inn by Hilton in Intercourse, PA, is seeking dynamic and passionate individuals to join our team and help create memorable experiences for our guests.

Summary:

To assist guests efficiently, courteously and professionally in Front Desk related functions. To maintain high standards of service, and hospitality. To perform assigned tasks such as scheduling, and ensuring that all GSR’s are maintaining high levels of customer service.

Responsible for supervision of all Operations at the Front Desk functions, under the direction of the Hotel General Manager.

Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned

  • Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
  • Check guests in and out efficiently and in a friendly manner.
  • Handle guest mail and messages per established procedures.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, room rates, amenities and selling strategies.
  • Take reservation requests efficiently.
  • Answer switchboard in accordance with standards of proper telephone etiquette.
  • Block rooms and handle special requests.
  • Monitor room availability and offer Hotel Managers assistance in yield management and restrictions.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of emergency and security procedures.
  • Maintains inventory for Front Desk supplies.
  • Maintains inventory for Suite Shop supplies.
  • Perform account payable and receivable duties.
  • Response to all guest surveys in a timely fashion.
  • Correspond to guest assistance cases effectively and timely.
  • handling invoice’s entries and coding properly into the accounting system.
  • Posting and balancing Hilton and OTA advance deposit reservations.
  • Investigate and respond to charge back cases in a timely fashion.
  • Making sure all-night audit reports and revenue are rolled over correctly and accurately.
  • Making sure staff is adhering to hotel policy and cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure all credit cards, cash are balanced throughout each shift.
  • Inform management of any guests or systems related complaints or problems.
  • Communicate with incoming staff and management by logging pertinent information in the pass on log.
  • Keep maintenance informed of all maintenance needs.
  • Pass on guests lost and found inquiries to management or Guest Room Supervisor.
  • Assist in marketing effort by assisting in sales blitzes.
  • Prepare daily deposits, comparing deposited monies to funds reported at desk, and follow up on any discrepancies.
  • Complete weekly front desk scheduling based on forecasted occupancy due on each Wednesday of the week.
  • Be able to schedule and conduct interviews.
  • Be able to answer questions that GSR may have.
  • Must be able to cover any call-off shift as per proper chain of command.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, of which the employee is capable.
  • Able to perform Night Auditor Duties.
  • Ensure an employee attitude of attentiveness and anticipation of guest needs.
  • Coordinate all Special Events - making sure never to over book the hotel during these times and all requests are handled in a timely fashion. Coordinate all related tasks to ensure the Special Events run smoothly
  • Proficient in the use of hotel systems. Working knowledge of how the systems work hand-in- hand.
  • Communicate with the Hotel Manager on a daily basis.
  • Inform Hotel Manager of potential problems with guests and progress of special projects.
  • Be able to Perform Manager on Duty responsibilities.
  • Able to assist all Front Desk Associates in the use of Training Program.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
