Principle Responsibilities/Position Purpose:
Responsible for stocking food and service ware for breakfast buffets for clearing tables during the complimentary breakfast period to insure guest satisfaction.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Average Percent of Time
20 % - Prepare foods such as cut fruit, coffee, juices, cereals, breads, etc.; replenish food on cold lines and buffets as needed and inspect display tables; .
15 % - Observe and ask guests about their needs and levels of satisfaction with the food or service; describe and/or answer questions for guests about menu items, the buffet, daily specials, etc.; talk with guests in order to create a friendly atmosphere and respond to their questions about attractions or other information in the area.
20 % - Stock coffee, juice, milk machines, dry items, china, glass, silver, etc; set out chafing dishes, steam tables, heat lamps, signs and easiles, flowers, newspapers, and self-serve utensils
30 % - Bus, clear and clean tables as they become available; wash utensils, china, etc; clean up spills; remove trash; replenish guest tables and self-service stations as needed
10 % - Clean work areas and floors (sweep, mop or vacuum) for appearance and safety
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
· Perform additional tasks to include returning reusable foods to storage, cleaning and draining all machines and equipment, and assisting the Comp. Breakfast Cook.
· Make supply list for next day and complete inventory reports.
· Attend required meetings.
· Follow hotel standards for safety and security

OTHER DUTIES
Assimilate into The Hilton Family PRIDE/CARE culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of PRIDE/CARE. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Hilton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The hotel will provide the required PPE. Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION
High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Some food and beverage work experience in related field preferred.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Must obtain any government required licenses or certificates. Examples include a Oregon Food Handlers Permit; Oregon Liquor Service Permit; Alcohol Service Permit. CPR certification and/or 1st Aid Training preferred.
GROOMING/UNIFORMS
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation process.
OTHER
Additional language ability preferred.
