About the Firm
We are partnering with a Chicago-based buyout fund that is seeking to add an Associate or Senior Associate to its dynamic and collaborative team. The firm specializes in investments within the industrial and manufacturing sectors, leveraging a hands-on approach to both deal execution and portfolio management. Currently investing out of their fourth fund, which surpassed its fundraising projections, the firm is poised for continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of investments in middle market companies, particularly those involved in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
- Engage in all phases of the investing process, including deal execution and portfolio management.
- Provide strategic counsel on technical and operational matters.
- Act as a representative of the firm, maintaining strong relationships with CEOs and executives.
- Participate in the due diligence process, draft transaction documents, and negotiate key terms.
Qualifications:
- 1.5–3 years of experience in Investment Banking or Private Equity, with a focus in Industrial sectors.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional academic credentials with demonstrated intellectual curiosity.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small, dynamic team managing diverse responsibilities.
