Position Summary:
Under broad guidance, the Senior Business Analyst, in conjunction with IT staff and functional users, is responsible for maintenance of HRSD Enterprise Systems, ensuring internal and external customers’ needs are met, data is valid and auditable.
Education Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Systems Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or approved equivalent
Experience Required:
• Five years of related experience in the analysis and application of user needs with system process related to one or more of the following business functions: accounting, general ledger, human resources, procurement, payroll, or project management
Position Duties and Responsibilities
• Supporting the business process owner’s needs relative to the Oracle E-Business Suite, Hyperion, Unifier, BI, Orbit and other software tools.
• Providing project management for system-wide upgrades, software patches and system design enhancements in conjunction with Information Services Department for Oracle E-Business Suite, Hyperion, Unifier, BI, Orbit and other reporting tool.
• Implementation of and effective use of the Oracle E-Business Suite, Hyperion, Unifier, BI, Orbit and other software tools throughout HRSD.
• Enhancements and system modifications including Information Services staff and other affected departments including needs analysis, project timeline, scheduling, resources needed, communication, training and troubleshooting.
• Communicate and present all relevant information throughout the lifecycle of the project. • Coordinate and monitor the resources necessary to ensure a project’s success.
• Provide cross-departmental coordination for the implementation of and effective use of the Oracle EBusiness Suite, Hyperion, Unifier, BI, Orbit and other software tools throughout HRSD
• Investigate the feasibility of alternate design approaches to determine the best-balanced solution involving the system’s functionality and the user’s needs
• Use available tools to create reports and evaluate needs for future reporting and analytical requirements
• Create statement of needs and work within the Procurement process to acquire new software and services
• Clearly defining business needs and develop project management plans to meet those needs
• Formulate and maintain documentation related to systems and business application implementation initiatives
• Develop and manage budget relative to software support service contracts for EBS, Hyperion, Unifier, and other integration and reporting tools
