Hana Engineers and Consultants, LLC is seeking to hire a full-time Quality Assurance Representative to support Hana’s Construction Management Services group related to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Superfund and Emergency Management Division (SEMD), Remedial Program with Remedial Action (RA) construction oversight services for a project in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania. This position is an in-person position where the employee will work on-site.
Duty Location(s): Immediate duty location is expected to be in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania. However, additional locations may include EPA Region 3’s Area of Responsibility (AOR) which include Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and West Virginia.
Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) will serve as EPA’s onsite representative to ensure that products and processes meet quality standards/requirements that are established by construction documents and specifications. The QAR will inspect and verify that the contractor’s quality control system adheres to contractual requirements and guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site RA construction oversight and perform daily inspection of ongoing and completed work.
- Document inspection outcomes and maintain a daily log to be input into the document management system daily.
Required Qualifications:
- Applicant shall have extensive experience performing field inspections of the full range of construction activities necessary to construct the project and support necessary contract administration tasks. Direct construction oversight experience may be substituted with experience in environmental fieldwork experience.
- Applicant must have 5 to 10 years of experience in a wide range of construction activities and/or environmental fieldwork activities.
- Applicant must have a minimum 3 years of quality assurance/quality control experience in the engineering/construction industry.
- Proficient knowledge of Bluebeam software, CADD, and other engineering tools.
- Familiarity with industry quality standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CERCLA remedial-action projects.
- Certification in Quality Management, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Construction Quality Manager (CQM), OSHA-30
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, RSMeans Data
Skills & Competencies:
- Attention to detail.
- Construction document plan reading and interpretation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate and work well in team settings.
- Strong understanding of statistical process control, process mapping, and root cause analysis.
