Job Summary:
As a Service Manager, you are the person our customers look to for help with their vehicles. You play a crucial role in building relationships with our customers by providing hospitality, ensuring their satisfaction, and managing the repair process.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage and hire technicians and service advisors.
- Train service advisors and other support staff.
- Supervise and direct employees.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure every customer entering our facility is treated with hospitality and the highest level of respect.
- Present the best repair solutions to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
- Effectively manage the workflow of the store.
- Consistently and honestly sell our services while maintaining integrity.
- Foster a positive attitude and promote a team atmosphere.
- Communicate professionally to establish long-term relationships with customers.
- Prepare monthly and annual business goals.
- Always represent the organization with honesty and integrity.
- Direct, coordinate, and participate in customer service activities.
- Ensure all work is performed according to specifications.
- Assist other employees as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience in managing and hiring technicians and service advisors.
- Training experience for service advisors and other support staff.
- Effective marketing of existing and potential customers through software.
- Proficiency in managing data and trends using industry-specific software (ADP).
- Ability to document, implement, and manage processes related to reception, shop flow, active delivery, warranty processing, CSI maximization, retention, and shop safety.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalence required, Bachelors Degree Preferred
- At least 5 years of managerial experience in the Automotive Industry.
- Experience in managing and hiring technicians and service advisors.
- Training experience for service advisors and other support staff.
- Effective marketing of existing and potential customers through software.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.
- Prolonged periods of walking on a level surface throughout the dealership.
