What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evening Maintenance Worker position at Hancock County Health System?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides maintenance services to all HCHS facilities regardless of location. Adheres to industry quality and safety standards.
- Perform general maintenance (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, construction, telephone) in all facilities.
- Operate and maintain plant equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repair and preventative maintenance.
- Assists with floor maintenance as needed.
- Assist in maintaining all grounds, can include mowing, trimming, raking, sweeping, and snow removal on the established schedules.
- Assist with various types of project work including building, painting, moving, cleaning.
- Assist with various hospital related events as required.
- Complete work requests posted on the WorxHub work request system.
- Respond to all alarms and codes.
HOURS:
Full-time Evening position, 80 hours per pay period, will include call rotation.
Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm, must be willing to be flexible.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Advanced technical training related to building and equipment maintenance preferred.
- Must possess and maintain an active Iowa Driver's License and must live within 20 minutes of hospital for call purposes.
- Must be or willing to become a State of Iowa licensed boiler operator.
