Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in computer technology systems or related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with co-workers.
- Good organizational and problem solving skills. Self-motivated individual who can prioritize and determine work assignments based on an understanding of established practices.
- Computer certifications are preferred.
Job Description
- Provide assistance in the installation, maintenance, upgrading, and repair of all technology hardware, software and networks in the district.
- Provide assistance in training and supporting staff in the use of software and hardware.
- Assist in evaluating existing hardware and software and recommending improvements.
- Assist in providing network support for schools.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of all network cabling and related components.
- Troubleshoot computer maintenance problems by performing routine cleaning and repair.
- Participate in departmental cross-training programs to enable the Data Processing Department to better support all aspects of computer technology being used by the district today and in the future.
- Attend seminars/training sessions as necessary to maintain professional knowledge.
- Perform record keeping and inventory updates as required.
- Perform other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Technology Director.
