ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage solutions.
- Continuously monitor storage performance and capacity, analyzing trends to forecast future needs and optimize resource allocation.
- Implement and manage data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Collaborate with the security team to establish and enforce data security policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Identify and resolve storage-related issues promptly, providing support for incident management and root cause analysis.
- Maintain accurate documentation of storage configurations, processes, and policies.
- Work closely with other IT teams to support application and database storage requirements, contributing to cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior storage administrators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or combination of education and experience.
- Five years of experience in storage administration, preferably within a financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Proficiency in storage management tools and monitoring software.
- Experience with data backup and recovery solutions, including disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the banking sector.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
