About Our Program
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (Psych Rehab) is a recovery-based program that focuses on helping individuals develop the skills they need to live fulfilling, independent lives. Through a person-centered approach, we support individuals in reaching their self-identified goals while promoting mental wellness, resilience, and hope.
What We Do:
At our center, we provide a variety of mental health and wellness classes designed to support recovery and personal growth. These include:
· Psychosocial education: Learning about mental health, coping strategies, and life skills
· Creative arts: Expressing emotions and building confidence through artistic activities
· Coping skills development: Strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges
· Gardening & mindfulness: Connecting with nature and practicing self-awareness
· Exercise & movement: Promoting physical and mental well-being through activity
· Advocacy & empowerment: Teaching self-advocacy skills to navigate life’s challenges
· Journaling & self-reflection: Encouraging personal growth through writing

Your Role:
As a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Worker, you will:
· Facilitate group and individual classes that teach essential mental wellness and life skills
· Encourage participants to identify and work toward their personal recovery goals
· Foster a supportive and inclusive community of hope and growth
· Collaborate with team members to develop engaging, meaningful programs
· Support individuals in applying the skills they learn to their daily lives

Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree OR Associates AND 1-year direct experience in mental health; OR High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 2 years work experience in human services which must include 1 years of direct experience in mental health work (must show this on resume and provide documentation).
Interested candidates must be willing to do a 3-phase interview process:
1. Interview with Program Director and tour the facility.
2. Interview with the Challenge Center Advisory Board.
3. Prepare and facilitate a a 45-minute class/group designed around any mental health, wellness, or skills-teaching topic, where the challenge center participants engage in the class, ask questions and grade the facilitator.
