Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and housekeeping tasks.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring the health and safety of clients.
- Medication reminders according to prescribed schedules and maintain accurate records.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Assist with mobility needs, including lifting or transferring clients safely when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients to promote their well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Support clients in participating in community activities and social events.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or home care is preferred, particularly with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic medical care practices is essential.
- Certification as a nurse or relevant healthcare qualification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Must be physically capable of lifting clients as needed and performing tasks that require physical stamina.
- A compassionate attitude towards helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various settings such as in home care or long-term care facilities.
