Job Duties/Scope Of Work
The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic partner and advisor to the Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) President and General Manager, facilitating effective decision-making and coordinating the execution of strategic initiatives. This role requires a high level of discretion, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex projects and relationships across the organization and with other Prime Contractors. The Chief of Staff will also oversee the HMIS Interface Management and Portfolio Planning & Optimization departments. This position will also manage the Performance Evaluation and Measurement Plan (PEMP) process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Department Oversight:
1) HMIS Interface Management: Facilitate open and effective interfaces between HMIS and Site customers. Oversee the maintenance of the Hanford Site Services and Interface Requirements Matrix, Service Catalog, and Interface Management Plan.
2) Portfolio Planning & Optimization: Support planning and technical baseline development for DOE, including the Hanford Life-Cycle Cleanup Baseline. Oversee the development of strategic recommendations for optimization and cost-saving opportunities.
3) Performance Evaluation & Measurement Plan (PEMP): Oversee and manage the evaluation process on HMIS performance for the Hanford Mission Essential Services Contract. Ensure compliance with objective criteria, such as cost savings or meeting delivery schedules, and subjective criteria, such as quality of work or customer satisfaction.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of department strategic goals and initiatives. Provide insights and recommendations on efficiencies to the executive team.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage key projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Executive Management: Provide high-level support to the executive and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency within the organization. Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, partners, and employees. Facilitate collaboration and communication across departments.
Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree, and at least 10 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a similar capacity.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of managing complex projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.

Compensation & Benefits
Grade 23: $183,300 - $241,300
Grade 24: $210,913 - $277,438
