Job Duties/Scope Of Work
Specific duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- The successful candidate must be a self-starter with creative problem-solving skills, possess the ability to adapt to constantly changing organizational priorities, ability to handle multiple job tasks concurrently, and communicate with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external to the org.
- Maintain awareness of HFD Operations and ensure logical needs are properly managed including identifying/forecasting, procuring, and delivering within the constraints of a 24 x 7 mission.
- Ensure a consistent supply of fire personal protective equipment (PPE) and station wear needs, maintaining sufficient stock for replacement of damaged/worn and/or expiring items in accordance with NFPA 1851, 1877, 1971, 1975 and 1977.
- Individual will be a member of the HFD rehab team, following NFPA 1584, Chapter 4, and must be able to make and execute prompt decisions during potentially hazardous conditions.
- Receives incoming equipment and determines if asset requires inspections, testing and/or maintenance and a unique identifier required. Verify or obtain unique identifiers as needed in order to maintain and track acknowledged assets per applicable NFPA and other applicable standards.
- Research and select appropriate materials and equipment ensuring items meet requesters needs and any applicable standards using various purchasing systems, and monitoring and tracking until received.
- Record and track structural gear and schedule for advanced inspection and cleaning to maintain compliance with NFPA 1851 at their prescribed intervals.
- Audit firefighter PPE to ensure current and compliance with NFPA 1971 and 1977 standards.
- Collect, and review records for completeness, determine if record is OUO or medical documents and upload HFD records in IDMS, maintaining HIPPA and procedure compliance.
- Control of HFD asset tracking and inventory property campaigns including capital assets.
- Maintain tracking of HFD sensitive property assignments.
- Participates in HFD audits to ensure compliance and provide input for process/program improvements to ensure compliance.
Basic Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree in business administration or related discipline and 1-5 years related experience, -OR- an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate working level knowledge with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Must have or be able to complete the following courses within 60 days of start date from National Wildfire Coordinating Group as part of the rehab team requirements:
- S-130 Firefighter Training
- S-190 Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior
- L-180 Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service
Desired Qualifications
*In-depth knowledge and experience with the Hanford Site procurement processes/procedures and software applications.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic knowledge of emergency management and/or fire terminology, PPE, and equipment.
Compensation & Benefits
Grade 14: $72,925 to $91,975
Grade 15: $80,225 to $101,175
Grade 16: $88,200 to $111,100
