Job Title: Relationship Manager I (Agent Onboarding & Support)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid/Remote optional)

Pay Range: $45,000- $50,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
We’re seeking a highly organized, service-minded Relationship Manager I to help onboard new agencies, train them on our systems, and ensure they are set up for success. This is a non-sales role focused on agent engagement, training, and retention support. You'll be the first point of contact for many agents and play a key role in their early success with Onward.
What you'll do as a Relationship Manager I?
- Guide new agents through the onboarding process, from contracting to first quote
- Conduct one-on-one or small-group training sessions on Onward’s platforms and workflows
- Serve as the go-to contact for early-stage agent questions and system troubleshooting (non-policy level)
- Proactively check in with new agents during their first 90 days
- Monitor agent activity and flag engagement trends to the Relationship Manager
- Gather feedback from agents and coordinate responses with internal teams
- Support documentation and updates to training materials and onboarding checklists
Experience and Qualifications
What we look for in our Relationship Manager I?
- 1–2 years of experience in insurance, agency onboarding, or client service
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Tech-savvy; comfortable learning and training others on insurance systems
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and responsive
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Experience with PL Rating or comparative raters is a plus
What success looks like
- Agents are onboarded smoothly and writing within 2–3 weeks
- Feedback loops are established to improve agent experience
- The Relationship Manager I can focus on strategic growth and high-volume agents
