Repo Admin Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary objective of this position is to ensure the timely and effective placement of repossession assignments, and that said assignments are distributed in accordance with company policies. This requires a detailed review of assignment details to ensure all State and Federal requirements are met. This position will serve as a point of contact in maintaining vendor relationships, including assignment follow up, fee authorizations, and invoice approvals.
This position will work closely with external repo vendors, as well as internal departments as both a service-provider and service-recipient. The successful candidate should be self-directed in work prioritization, be able to work seamlessly between and among several databases and should be able to demonstrate good decision-making ability within the scope of the position’s areas of responsibility. The Coordinator will perform all duties in accordance with Westlake policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and select repo vendor based on assignment volume and efficiency grading
- Review low delinquency accounts for possible repo assignment
- Process repo vendor payables
- Review and maintain vendor payable queues at low levels
- Track and maintain LPR network assignments
- Process repo assignment close and hold requests
- Address internal and external repo assignment related inquiries
- Assist in properly directing ACV requests to Remarketing
- Assist in selection and evaluation of repossession agents
- Maintain effective communication with repossession agents, collection and internal departments
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & LICENSES:
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced department.
- Ability to work well with external vendors including fee verification
- Ability to work with internal and external operating systems
- Ability to execute detailed, accurate review of Daybreak account status and standing
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work under time constraints and daily deadlines.
- Versatility in job functionality and quick to assimilate procedural changes.
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork awareness.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree or college equivalent experience preferred.
- Previous work experience in consumer credit / banking, preferably in automotive finance, auction or vehicle sales, transport or repossession.
- Detail oriented, self-starter, ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:
- Daybreak or other retail consumer servicing systems.
- Web navigation and/or web-based applications.
- Personal computer: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 10-key calculator and QWERTY keyboard skills.
- Copier, Faxing & other general office supplies.
PAY RATE:
- $17.28 per hour base pay plus potential bonus depending on performance
- The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
