Hankin Group has an excellent opportunity available for a Project Manager - Construction.
Project Manager is responsible for the organization, supervision, and coordination of the project, onsite staff, schedule, and budget. The Project Manager must adhere to company and OSHA safety requirements and protect and promote the Company’s best interest in all matters by serving as the representative on the Owner-Architect-Builder team.
Job responsibilities include:
- Maintain the project budget ensuring the timely commitments of all subcontractor and vendor change orders, and input of all owner change orders.
- Ensure that all major subcontractors and material purchases have been completed within thirty (30) days after award of contract. Track the return of all subcontract documents and purchase orders.
- Work with authority having jurisdiction to determine the special conditions and requirements of assigned projects.
- Prepare organization and responsibilities matrix at the start of the project and review with each project participant.
- Collaborating with the Project Superintendent, establish a construction schedule and finalize the project budget.
- Conduct a pre-construction kick off meeting with the Project Superintendent to familiarize the subcontractors with the project schedule, construction methods, company procedures and policies, and quality and safety standards.
- Ensure that material is delivered to the construction site as required by the construction schedule.
- Approve and resolve all back charges to and from subcontractors and material suppliers on the project in a timely manner. Prepare all owner change order requests.
- Visit the project sites to review problems, compare progress to schedule, compare actual vs. estimated cost, check compliance with plans and specifications, and verify the quality of work being performed.
- Perform monthly project cost report and present at monthly job review meeting.
- Ensure compliance with approved safety program on all assigned projects.
- Schedule and conduct all project progress meetings.
- Review and approve all subcontractor and vendor invoices.
- Assist on preparation of monthly owner invoice and follow up on receiving payment.
- Ensure that projects are properly manned to meet schedules and budgets.
- Review with the Project Superintendent the equipment needs for the project and implement the procurement of all items.
- Ensure that all project close out documents are completed and accurate.
Applicant requirements:
- BS in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture
- 7 or more years of construction experience in estimating, operations and/or engineering required.
- OSHA 30 preferred
- Experienced in document control, shop drawing/submittal review, blueprint reading and construction administration
- Excellent Computer skills with Microsoft Project experience a plus
- Building Informational Modeling (BIM) experience a plus
- Good communication skills, self-motivated, well organized and ability to multi-task.
